You may remember one of my earliest posts (My third post, posted on the 9th of April), Toy Story Gaming! Yesterday I mailed the Official Nintendo Magazine or ONM a letter which included an idea for Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue - Revision Edition for the DS. Another post will follow this one eventually with the actual letter (only the Toy Story 2 segment mind), but here is a quick sum up of my ideas and reasons...
- Since the DS was made to be about as powerful as a N64 it would be exactly the same power as the original PS1 (which was competing with the N64 and the Dreamcast - Interesting trivia this, but did you know that Toy Story 2: Buzz to the Rescue was made for all 3 competing rivals; the Sega Dreamcast, the Nintendo 64 and the Sony PlayStation) meaning similar graphics and similar feel!
- Unlockable 'Hub' World (A morphed version of Andies House/Neighbourhood, where you go out the door of the house into the neighbour hood), with character shop using Pizza Planet Tokens Earned from the Main Game and 'Hub' Worlds challenges. One idea of a character was the Green Alien.
- Extra bosses in the 'Hub' World, including the ToyStory1 Phycopathic boy and ToyStory3s Lots.
- Customisable options, which would let you choose colours of three characters (Green Alien, Zurg and Buzz) and put decal 'stickers' on two (Zurg and Buzz)
- Multiplayer in the 'Hub' World, allowing groups of ToyStory Characters (4 people local multiplayer) to go out together to take on the bosses who are extremely hard (did you know that the first 2 mini bosses are the hardest?) like the Zurg Kite, more easily.
- Evolving bosses. Zurg Kite would be great to get more powerful ever defeat, given more Pizza Planet Token (PPTs) every time you defeat him, with even more appear if you group up with other local players.
